Entry 9 Media
The internet is a very cool place where you can go an meet new people, read the news, even learn new things, or even visit places right from your computer or mobile phone. But there is a downside to this and that would be that not everything you see is real. i have been doing a research topic on this very matter and I have realized so many things. Well I had already sort of noticed this ever since the 2016 US elections (where it really got big) began. I was on Facebook often and always saw posts of these "news sources" bashing on a candidate they didn't like. I would read some of the content and it seemed ridiculous so i went on google and looked up the topic and most of the time it turned out to be either fake or very bias and hiding the other side to the story, not only on social media but on websites too. For instance the website
http://www.stophatedumptrump.com/ and
https://www.lyingcrookedhillary.com/
these are two polar opposites with very bias or fake information about the other candidate. And people actually ate this stuff up without knowing the facts or doing research. Some of my family members and friends whom I thought would know better were so gullible it made me mad! like how are you going to believe something just because someone says its true.
